The rules come from the marriage chapter (Vivaha Prakarana) of Muhurta Chintamani. The good stars are Rohini, Mrigashira, Magha, the three Uttaras, Hasta, Swati, Anuradha, Mula and Revati; the Sun should be in Aries, Taurus, Gemini (up to the bright tenth of Ashadha), Scorpio, Capricorn or Aquarius. This page checks the calendar only. A final date also needs the couple's own charts (the Kundli Milan score, Mangal Dosh, the rising sign at the hour, and planets striking the star), so confirm the date with your family pandit. This edition of the book has no chapter on Griha Pravesh (house-warming), so we do not give dates for it.
ये नियम मुहूर्त चिन्तामणि के विवाह प्रकरण से हैं। शुभ नक्षत्र हैं रोहिणी, मृगशिरा, मघा, तीनों उत्तरा, हस्त, स्वाति, अनुराधा, मूल और रेवती; सूर्य मेष, वृष, मिथुन (आषाढ़ शुक्ल दशमी तक), वृश्चिक, मकर या कुम्भ में होना चाहिए। यह पृष्ठ केवल पंचांग जाँचता है। अन्तिम तिथि के लिए वर-कन्या की अपनी कुण्डली (कुण्डली मिलान, मंगल दोष, उस समय का लग्न, और नक्षत्र पर ग्रहों का वेध) भी देखनी होती है, इसलिए तिथि अपने पण्डित जी से पक्की करें। इस संस्करण में गृह प्रवेश का अध्याय नहीं है, इसलिए उसकी तिथियाँ नहीं दी गई हैं।
